(a) Narcotics or psychotropic drugs prohibited by the Narcotics Hazard Prevention Act and the Controlled Drugs Act: heroin, morphine, opium, cocaine, coca leaves, poppy, poppy seeds, amphetamine, marijuana, marijuana seeds, marijuana derivatives containing over 10ppm of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), derived products of the said materials,etc. (In need of controlled drugs? see“Medicines”)

(b) Firearms (shotguns, airguns, speargun, harpoon guns, gas guns, etc.), ammunition (bullets, explosives,etc.), and knives (sharpened samurai swords, brass knuckles, etc.) prohibited by the Controlling Guns, Ammunition and Knives Act.
The import of such articles shall have prior approval from the principal police department.

(c) Articles infringing upon the rights of patents, trademarks and copyrights.
Regarding passengers carrying copies for privates use, every individual shall carry one copy of each work.

(d) Fake or spurious currencies or securities, or moulds for printing counterfeit currency.

(e) Live wildlife or protected wildlife products.
The import of protected wildlife products shall have prior approval from the Council of Agricultural (for land species) or the Ocean Conservation Administration (for marine species ). At the same time, an export permit or a certificate issued by the export country is required as well for endangered-species pursuant to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.

(f) Articles prohibited by law from importation.

In case of any discrepancy between the English version and the Chinese version, the latter shall prevail.
